GSR – Innovative Valve Technology

(Externally) Pressure controlled valves are suitable for the control of gaseous, highly viscose, polluted and aggressive media. The actuator is separated from the medium. Neutral or liquid medium of 4-10 bar is necessary for the actuation. The pilot valve is available in standard supply voltages and can be delivered, by request.
With compressed air being widely available, this type of valve is popular for problematical media.
On average, only 0,4 litre of air are consumed for each switching. A return line for the control medium air is not necessary because the air will be returned into the atmosphere during the switching periods.
Pressure controlled valves have a simple and sturdy design and therefore they are suitable for nearly all media up to a viscosity of 600 mm²/s.
Additionally, they are immune to particles in the media.
These valves are also chemical and thermal resistant because of there design.
Together with a small ATEX approved control valve these valves are also suitable in hazardous areas.
(Externally)Pressure controlled valves are used, for example, in:
In the case of (externally) pressure controlled valves, massive water hammers can occur during closing when liquids flow through at high speed in closing direction. For this reason, we recommend a closing direction against the medium flow (media comes under the seat). The operating pressure range is limited due to the direct acting control type and the actuator size.
